Year 6 is the final year of Primary School and all children are assessed for 'Secondary Readiness'. In May of each year, the children sit their end of Key Stage 2 assessments.
In addition to this, some children in Year 6 will take the Kent or Medway tests or both. These tests are for admission to Grammar Schools and are usually taken within the first two weeks of Term 1. Full details about the secondary admissions process and the Kent test can be found under the Important Information tab under Secondary Transfer.
